WHAT WE DO

AnothersOthers is a platform for applied research projects exploring the other through another perspective based on creative and imaginative processes. By blurring the boundaries between design and anthropology, and focusing on the commons, the platform works on the temporality of the future as an alterity to the present.

It emphasizes a critical awareness through provocation, mediation, discussion, and agency in order to explore the different layers of communities and their unique territorial contexts. This approach fosters a deeper understanding of diverse experiences and encourages the collaborative exploration of the nowadays challenges each community faces.

How we do it

This is achieved through fieldwork and post-research activities, in which projects are developed by experiencing everyday life and using selected visual content. Various media can be employed, including photography, video, archival materials, and the creation or manipulation of objects.

For How long

Each project is designed according to a reasonable timeline for achieving the proposal. Usually, several fieldworks are desirable.

What we can offer

The projects are always open and can be design around discussions, conflict mediation, and problem solving, and developed through research, archives, museography, exhibitions or publications.
